Geostick Group has taken over the self-adhesive label division of iPB Printing, strengthening its position in that segment of the market.
Geostick Group is a family-run business active in the field of labels and flexibles. It is a big user of digital printing technology, with a multi-site fleet of 10 HP Indigo digital presses, including two HP Indigo 20000 presses. These were recently updated with the new HP Indigo 6K replacing four WS6800 models.
Effective 1 August, 2020, the self-adhesive label division of iPB Printing has transitioned to Geostick, including staff, production and customers to the relevant Geostick location.
This addition follows previous acquisitions of LabelMed, LabelForm, Etiket BV and WYT Gevaarsetiketten by the Geostick Group.
For iPB Printing, divestment of its self-adhesive label division means the company can focus on the further growth of its in-mould labels (IML) and flexible packaging activities.
Bart Lavrijsen, commercial director of iPB Printing, commented, ‘We have found a reliable and good partner in Geostick to whom we can transfer our customers with confidence.’
Peter Berveling, third generation owner of Geostick Group, said, ‘The focus of iPB Printing on IML and flexible packaging offers us a great opportunity to further strengthen our position in our core business of self-adhesive labels with a nice list of loyal customers that we can also support from our Print & Labeling Solutions division.’
Geostick is shortly to open its new Digital Printing Center in Uithoorn, The Netherlands.
