UK printer Lemur Labels has installed a Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+, allowing to print full-colour labels, as well as to meet increased demand for short-run, multi-variation jobs.
Lemur Labels is the digital arm of A&E Supplies, a Manchester, UK-based family-owned printing company, with over 30 years of experience in the labelling industry. Lemur Labels lists an Edale FL3 flexo press and Domino K600i monochrome inkjet printer as part of its printing hardware. Its management team recently invested in automation, building a smooth production line to ensure the fast processing of print jobs and delivery.
Specifically, the Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+ press has enabled Lemur Labels to print full-colour labels with small print often used on the packaging of supplements and proteins popular among athletes. Like many others in print, Lemur Labels has also used its latest investment to meet growing demand for hand sanitiser labels as it ramped up its activities during the coronavirus crisis.
Lemur Labels director Alex Hurford said, ‘The L350UV+ provides excellent print quality, with good blacks and solid colours. Its fine droplets ensure we’re able to print instructions in small print without any blurring, a requirement for many industries we supply, including the vape and e-liquid markets.
‘The press allows us to be more efficient and flexible in how we respond to our customers’ requirements, with lead times that are among the best in the industry.’
He added, ‘The L350UV+ allows us to be more efficient and flexible in how we respond to our customers’ requirements.’
Alan Rolfe, Screen UK regional sales manager, said, ‘Through A&E, Lemur Labels has a strong foundation in traditional printing. Yet, its management realises that the future is digital. We’re really proud Lemur chose Screen’s L350UV+ to enter the digital label printing market.’
