Labelexpo Global Series has confirmed revised dates for two of its shows in the Americas, as a result of the ongoing coronavirus/Covid-19 situation.
This means that the next Labelexpo Americas will now take place 8-10 June, 2021, and the inaugural Labelexpo Mexico will now not occur until 2023.
Labelexpo Americas 2020 had been due to take place last month (September 2020) but was previously postponed until 23-25 March, 2021.
The inaugural Labelexpo Mexico, scheduled to take place 23-25 June, 2021, will now take place 26-28 April, 2023 at World Trade Center, Mexico City. Label Summit Latin America will return in 2022. Further details will be confirmed in due course.
Tasha Ventimiglia, Labelexpo event director for the Americas, said, ‘The impact of the ongoing Covid-19 situation has been far-reaching across the Americas and, given the vast amount of preparation that goes into our shows, changing the dates are not decisions we take lightly. However, the health and safety of our exhibitors, visitors and staff must, as before, remain our top priority.
‘Taking into consideration our wider show portfolio, postponing Labelexpo Americas 2021 by three months to June, and moving Labelexpo Mexico back to 2023, will allow us to plan and deliver the safest, most successful events possible.’
Health and safety measures being implemented at Labelexpo Americas 2021 include wider exhibitor floor aisles of 15ft, compared to 10ft previously, so more easily allowing for social distancing, in addition to enhanced cleaning routines, clear venue signage and revised registration areas. Ms Ventimiglia continued, ‘Throughout this pandemic, the label and package printing industry has continued to be an essential business. We know how vitally important Labelexpo Americas is for triggering business between converters and manufacturers, and advancing the domestic market in North America. This much-needed show next year will play a vital role in the recovery of the region’s label and package printing industry and its supply chain, post-Covid-19.
‘We are fully committed to delivering safe and successful events across the Americas in 2021 and beyond, and will continue to follow all local government advice, as well as that of the CDC, World Health Organization and our partners.’
