CELAB-NA, the North American branch of the self-adhesive label industry initiative to create greater circularity its products, has launched with the backing of nearly 20 industry suppliers.
Specifically, CELAB-NA has the backing of Ahlstrom-Munksjö, APR, Avery Dennison, BASF, Dow Performance Silicones, Elkem Silicones, FLEXcon, Green Bay Packaging, Henkel, Innovia Films America, Kruger, Loparex, Mactac, Mondi Group, PolyPlex, UPM Raflatac, Verso Corporation, Wausau Coated Products, and industry association TLMI.
Juha Virmavirta, director, RafCycle, UPM Raflatac, said, ‘By bringing our long experience to CELAB, we aim to drive the industry’s shift towards the circular economy together with multiple players in the value chain. Furthermore, we aim to accelerate RafCycle development further by strengthening our service offering.’
UPM Raflatac is a member of the CELAB branches in North America and Europe, and the global consortium.
