Jetrix Soluciones Gráficas has been appointed Xeikon’s new dealer in Mexico.
The company has been contracted to supply and support Xeikon’s full range of products for label and package printing, and commercial applications in the country.
Mexico is noted as a growing market for Xeikon in Latin America, and with over 20 systems already in place, Jetrix can now respond to the ‘noticeable’ surge in demand from printers and converters looking for digital options and new revenue streams, according to Xeikon.
Julian Robledo, owner and general manager at Jetrix, commented, ‘Nobody expected this growth during the Covid-19 crisis. We did not imagine that we would see such a rise in demand, particularly from the pharma and food sectors. These are extraordinary times and the crisis is driving change. e-Commerce has been boosted to levels that we would not have expected to see for another 3-4 years. It is proving to be a huge opportunity for us. Having this new partnership with Xeikon, we now have the right timing, the right technology and the right market segment to go ahead with our plans.’
Established in 2008 and based in Mexico City, Jetrix has seen 12 years of successful business growth in the packaging and labels markets. It is now placing a focus on related markets such as flexible packaging, folding cartons, and digital print for corrugated.
Mr Robledo commented, ‘Our ambition is to be a complete solution provider. Our new partnership is in line with our business growth strategy. We will now be able to provide our region with Xeikon’s complete portfolio.
‘The systems we have installed so far mostly utilise dry toner technology for POS and food-safe products. Now we can also offer Xeikon’s UV Panther Inkjet systems as well as Xeikon’s latest software innovations defined by its powerful X-800 DFE.’
Mr Robledo continued, ‘Everything in our industry is going to be connected. It will be a digital transformation. Printers and converters have many options and it is our job to guide them to the best choices which will help their business grow. Going forward, we will be able to better serve our customers and the Xeikon partnership is great news for printers, designers and brands in our country – integration and automation is the future providing ultimate efficiency and profitability.’
With full warehousing and logistic facilities as well as a comprehensive suite of offices, Jetrix provides a wide range of equipment and technical support through its sales, service and consumables departments. The company is now looking to expand its resources to meet the noticeable demand in Mexico’s label community for digital options. It plans to double staff numbers in the next two to three years and is also making investments to improve the company’s internal structure, particularly in terms of training and IT.
‘As a company we have a strong business plan,’ he added. ‘We continually monitor global trends and market forces to help us find the differentiators that will make us more efficient and profitable. We continue to see the need for innovation in Mexico and demand is high. Xeikon is a very strong brand. Their digital innovation and dry toner technologies are already recognised in our country and we are very pleased to now be able to offer their full digital portfolio. We have staff covering four regions including Monterrey in the north and Guadalajara in the mid-west. We provide a consultancy service – a complete package from the initial discussions with the customer through to after sales support.’
Marco Avanzi, sales director, indirect channels at Xeikon, said, ‘Jetrix will be a strong partner for Xeikon. This is a mutually beneficial agreement. Julian Robledo and his team have similar goals to provide labels and packaging printers and converters in Mexico with the latest innovation and complete digital solutions. Julian and his team understand Xeikon’s unique technologies and the benefits they can bring to any business looking for creative differentiators and new revenue streams. With our fully integrated state-of-the-art software and hardware packages, Jetrix can now offer Mexico a digital transformation platform.’
