Mitsubishi HiTec Paper is increasing the prices for its entire product range, citing the continued sharp rise in energy costs, and ‘significant’ cost increases in the areas of logistics and raw materials,
The 20% increase impacts thermoscript, jetscript, giroform, supercote and barricote products. The price adjustments apply to deliveries from 1 September, 2021.
Mitsubishi HiTec Paper implemented a 10% price increase for its coated speciality papers, which came into effect on 1 June, 2021. In March, the company increased the price of its coated inkjet papers by 5%, having previously increased prices for thermal paper deliveries by 15%.
In announcing the latest increase, Mitsubishi HiTec Paper stated, ‘This step is unavoidable so that we can continue to offer our partners our wide range of coated speciality papers in the well-known high quality. Customers are contacted directly by the Mitsubishi sales team.’
