UK-based digital label printer Springfield Solutions has expanded its capacity with a Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+LM, added to provide extra capacity to serve growing demand from customers during and after the coronavirus pandemic.
Dennis Ebeltoft, Springfield Solutions’ joint managing and operations director, commented, ‘We have seen healthy growth over the past year, printing over 187 million labels in 2020. The pandemic generated accelerated demand from a wide set of companies, such as producers of hand gels and other sanitation products, who needed more labels quickly. This led us to assess how we can continue to grow our output and increase the capacity of our digital print facility. The answer was to purchase the Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+LM.’
The company chose the press owing to its ability to offer customers short lead times, cost-effectiveness, and wide options for personalisation. It also interfaces with the printer’s finishing machines, such as equipment from A B Graphic, with the ability to run inline or offline.
Springfield Solutions has recently unveiled Project 21, a major investment programme intended to allow the company to continue along its growth trajectory. The new Screen press is part of the investment programme.
Springfield Solutions has been 100% digital since 2012, relying heavily on Screen’s inkjet digital presses.
Mr Ebeltoft said, ‘Screen has supported us all the way during our growth in digital printing. Its machines are reliable and produce excellent results, giving us confidence that we can provide the high quality products our customers need, when they need them.’
