AM Labels is to participate at the Speciality & Fine Food Fair in London on 6-7 September, as it targets further growth of in-house labelling.
The company has already detailed how more and more businesses are bringing label production in-house, as many end users sought to diversify and expand their offerings throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
The Speciality & Fine Food Fair, taking place at Olympia London, will play host to over 700 fine food and drink suppliers, from household names in the industry to local producers and innovative start-up businesses. The exhibition is expected to welcome over 10,000 members of the artisan food and drink industry, including those operating in retail, hospitality, manufacturing and wholesale sectors. Experts will also be providing information on the latest trends and insights, as well as ideas on how businesses can diversify their product offering. Digital Labels & Packaging editor David Pittman will be in attendance to connect with speciality and fine food manufacturers ahead of this year’s Digital Print for Brand Success 2021 conference.
AM Labels highlighted upcoming changes to the law regarding the way in which food is packaged and labelled as being a key concern for businesses in the industry. From 1 October, 2021, Natasha’s Law will require companies to clearly display all ingredients and allergens on any foods that are pre-packed for direct sale on the premises, as well as requiring allergens to be emphasised, such as in bold or italics, while also adhering to minimum size requirements. Printers are a tool to help support businesses through this change, such as entry-level desktop systems to industrial machines as offered to the market by AM Labels.
Brendon Bass, sales and marketing manager at AM Labels, said, ‘We are delighted to be exhibiting at the Speciality & Fine Food Fair for the first time. We will be showcasing a number of printers on stand 1118, including the Epson ColorWorks C6500 printer and the OKI Pro1050, an innovative 1200dpi colour label printer that offers the benefit of the fifth colour, white, enabling greater design creativity and flexibility.
‘The past 18 months since the outbreak of Covid-19 have been extremely challenging for many businesses across the country, but we look forward to welcoming both existing and prospective customers to our stand, in addition to demonstrating a variety of products from our portfolio that can help businesses operating in the food and drink industry to extend and improve their in-house labelling capabilities.’
