US converter Menasha Packaging Company has expanded its printing capabilities with a state-of-the-art Barberan Jetmaster 2.0.

The company, a subsidiary of Menasha Corporation and the industry’s largest independent, retail-focused provider of packaging and displays, is headquartered in Wisconsin and has more than 170 years of experience in packaging. Menasha Packaging has over 50 locations in North America, and designs, prints and produces customised packaging, displays, and merchandising material, as well as providing pack-out, fulfilment and supply chain services.

It will use the Jetmaster 2.0 from Barberan for printing graphics on corrugated board at high speed, with high definition texts, QR codes, and sharp and vivid colours.

The Barberan Jetmaster 2.0 to be installed in Menasha’s Hartford location is a 1840mm-wide model, running six colours. In addition, it incorporates the MasterVision inspection system for automatic adjustment of alignment, tonality and image inspection.

Mike Riegsecker, president at Menasha Packaging Company, commented, ‘Not only will we meet our customers’ need for exemplary graphics, but the press will also reduce overall operating waste and use less water than other presses. It’s a great environmentally sustainable investment and aligns with Menasha’s priority to provide unparalleled packaging solutions in support of a sustainable future.’

Barberan US president Garrett Bradley said, ‘Adding a client like Menasha is very exciting for Barberan. Being one of the largest suppliers of graphic packaging in North America and gaining their trust is a testament to not just the press but our entire team. We are very much looking forward to expanding the limits of what people consider eligible for digital print.

‘With our 2.0 press running at close to double the speed of any other press in the market and with a higher dpi enabling us to achieve better results on small fonts and barcodes as well as much improved solids.’
