Xeikon is replacing its PX2000 and PX3000 UV inkjet digital press models, with PX2200 and PX3300 taking their place in the market alongside the new PX3300 HC.
PX2200 remains the company’s entry-level UV inkjet digital label printing press, printing at 600dpi in four (CMYK) or five (CMYK+W) colours. PX2200 has a 220mm-wide imaging width, and can handle rolls of material that are 150-350mm wide.
PX3300 also prints at 600dpi using CMYK/CMYK+W, although it has a 330mm maximum print width on rolls also 150-350mm wide. Inline finishing with PX3300 allows higher end labels and packaging to be produced using’s Xeikon’s inkjet technology.
PX3300 HC has similar statistics to the PX3300, such as a 990sqm/h throughput, but handles rolls that are 200-350mm wide. With an external unwinder, the maximum unwinder/rewinder reel diameter is expanded to 1320mm, compared to 650mm with PX2200/3300, which have an integrated unwinder. PX3300 HC can accommodate a maximum roll weight of 800kg.
All three presses run Xeikon’s proprietary PantherCure UV inkjet inks, and print at a maximum speed of 50m/min. They continue to be complemented by the PX30000 seven-colour press, running at 70m/min.
