Narrow web press manufacturer Mark Andy is to use its participation at the upcoming Labelexpo Europe 2022 to demonstrate the capability and potential of hybrid printing, specifically its Digital Series HD and Digital Series iQ machines.
Mark Andy will use its stand at the April show to highlight digital and flexo hybrid technology for ‘fast and efficient’ production. This will cover pre-press and MIS, consumables and supplies, the hybrid printing process, and converting and finishing options. On working demonstration at Brussels Expo will be Digital Series HD and the manufacturer’s latest launch in relation to hybrid printing, Digital Series iQ. This system is powered by Domino’s UV inkjet digital printing technology, whilst Digital Series HD uses Mark Andy’s proprietary flexo and digital technologies.
Digital Series HD and Digital Series iQ are noted as being suited for different needs, although both feature a high level of integration and complete end-to-end functionality. Both use six-colour UV inkjet digital printing, with an extended colour gamut and opaque white. Both also feature fast-change flexo features for top coating, lamination, foil stamping, and speciality colour printing and product decoration.
Tom Cavalco, managing director at Mark Andy Europe, said, ‘Digital Series HD and Digital Series iQ utilise well-proven technology to ensure a reliable and profitable solution for our customers. Since its launch last year in the Americas, Digital Series iQ has been a fast seller, easily integrated by label converters.
‘We are excited to showcase the machine for the first time in Europe on our booth at Labelexpo and are looking forward to seeing friends old and new at this year’s event.’
Labelexpo Europe 2022 takes place 26-29 April at Brussels Expo in the Belgian city. With Konica Minolta and MGI having also recently confirmed their plans for the show, Labelexpo Global Series managing director Lisa Milburn added, ‘It is very exciting news for our visitors that Mark Andy will be using the show for the European launch of the new Digital Series IQ platform powered by Domino, alongside the latest version of Digital Series HD.’
