Epson has launched a new mobile point of sale (mPOS) liner-free media printer for takeaway, click-and-collect and delivery food labels.
Available to order from March 2022, the TM-L100 is a compact, liner-free label printer that Epson says offers ‘full and easy’ ePOS iOS, Android and Java integration with users’ existing POS systems. It supports a wide range of plastic-free media, including thick highly adhesive semi-permanent labels, and also includes Bluetooth connectivity with rapid sync and charge functionality, meaning users can quickly and conveniently synchronise their devices to existing workflow systems.
On the environmental front, the printer is eco-friendly, eliminating plastic waste from labels, and the media requires no back-peeling which saves time. The TM-L100 also features Epson’s advanced paper reduction function, which significantly reduces paper consumption and waste.
Dayle Guy, business solutions business development manager at Epson UK, commented, ‘The new TM-L100 is designed to help food take-away, click-and-collect and delivery providers operate more efficiently and save time with the added benefit of using eco-friendly plastic-free labels. Liner-free labels can improve operational workflows by eliminating the need to manually peel and write on labels, which is time consuming and prone to error. The TM-L100 produces clear, legible labels and can contain a range of useful information such as customer details and food contents. And with embedded ePOS solutions, TM-L100 can be integrated very easily.’
