Vivid Laminating Technologies has launched Zip Core Packaging Suite, new CAD/CAM packaging software created to optimise every aspect of packaging design from start to finish.
Zip Core has been developed by Vivid to enhance the use of the company’s Veloblade Volta and Veloblade Nexus range of digital die-cutting systems. Two options are available, Zip Core Design and Zip Core Design Pro, and both are compatible with desktop and Cloud operating environments. They can also be integrated with Adobe Illustrator, meaning graphics can be applied to packaging designs whilst being able to view a 3D model of the structure before production.
This, ‘saves both time and money,’ according to Vivid sales and product manager Lewis Evans, who continued, ‘Our software will provide businesses with a wide range of tools that speed up and automate the everyday jobs of packaging designers, graphic designers and salespeople involved in the creation and production of packaging. This will result in jobs being produced at a much faster rate. There are endless packaging templates to choose from within our library of designs, giving the customer the opportunity to create an infinite choice of projects with absolute simplicity.’
