SunDance has purchased an HP Indigo 25K digital press, which becomes the cornerstone of the US printer’s newly formed flexible packaging division.
Starting out in 2007, SunDance’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility boasts an assortment of equipment to service clients with various printed products. In recent times, SunDance has seen a surge in hyper-customised, personalised products, including the use of holographic films, windows, closers and pouching printed on low volumes or multiple SKUs.
Adding to an existing HP fleet including an Indigo 7900 and 6R digital presses, in addition to Latex 3000 and Scitex FB700, the new press furthers the company’s growth efforts in labels and packaging in recent years to suit such changes, and more.
JohnHenry Ruggieri, managing director at SunDance, commented, ‘We’ve continued to stay laser-focused on the end goal throughout the pandemic, which is to continue to provide our customers with the best solutions possible. And having worked with HP for some time now, seeing a new stream of orders and requests for products coming through our door, the decision to move into flexible packaging was a very natural next step for us.
‘We’re excited to be able to utilise a fantastic product like the 25K in order to expand our offering and service our clients, and also with everything produced in-house ensuring the utmost quality.’
Kirk McLean, general manager in the Americas for HP Indigo and PageWide, said, ‘HP and SunDance are both committed to providing innovative solutions for customer problems. By combining HP technology with the SunDance commitment to customer satisfaction, we have the tools necessary to meet any print challenge. We’re delighted to continue to support the SunDance team as they continue to service clients across the globe.’
Sustainability also factored into SunDance’s latest investment decision. Mr Ruggieri continued, ‘Whilst we want to ensure customers have what they need, we also have a responsibility to provide these customisable products with our sustainability goals in mind. We’re pleased to say that by using the HP Indigo 25K digital press, not only can we make the orders, it also helps us eliminate print media waste and plates, as well as using non-toxic inks and recycled print materials.’
