Domino is to use the forthcoming Labelexpo Americas 2022 expo to present its ‘new’ N730i UV inkjet label press to an in-person audience for the first time.
First unveiled virtually in September 2020 as a consequence of the coronavirus pandemic, N730i builds on Domino’s successful N610i technology, with the latest press using 1200dpi Bitstar printheads to print in up to seven colours (CMYK+OVW). An optional pre-digital flexo priming station helps optimise print quality on more difficult media types, with a further optional flexo station post-digital facilitating varnishing, brand spot colour, and flood white for shrink sleeve applications. Automated roll lifting is provided as standard at the unwind and rewind, supporting media rolls of up to one metre in diameter.
Alongside this ‘new’ press, the Domino N610i UV inkjet digital label press is to be shown printing at 600dpi. Also available with up to seven colours, this press is configurable as a roll-to-roll, roll-to-inline/nearline or hybrid printing system. N610i is further evident across the halls of Labelexpo Americas 2022 as an integration module and demonstrated by a number of other suppliers during the expo – see the July/August 2022 edition of Digital Labels & Packaging for more.
For variable data printing, the Domino K600i dual bar monochrome UV inkjet digital printer can print serial, batch, random, or pin numbers; alpha numeric characters; variable images; linear barcodes; 2D matrix; and QR codes – all at up to 150m/min. Such capability is suited for anti-counterfeiting, brand protection, consumer engagement, e-commerce, food safety, inventory control, logistics, loyalty programmes, promotional activities; and track & trace applications.
