ePac Flexible Packaging has named Ian Wilson to its board of directors.
Currently, Mr Wilson serves as executive vice president for strategy and development for Amcor, a developer and producer of packaging options. The business previously invested substantially into ePac and has more recently increased its stake.
Based in Europe, Mr Wilson joined Amcor in March 2000 in his current role. Previous to Amcor, he held executive leadership and partner positions with global and private equity firms UBS Warburg and Baker & McKenzie.
Mr Wilson commented, ‘Since Amcor’s initial investment last year, we have been thoroughly impressed with ePac’s focused and innovative digitally based business model and skill sets that are highly transferable to areas of Amcor’s core business strategy.’
Amcor now occupies two seats on ePac’s board, with Mr Wilson joining Mike Schmitt, executive vice president at Amcor.
