A B Graphic (ABG) has introduced a 430mm-wide Digicon Series 3, designed to respond to the increasing number of converters moving to a wider web.
Flatbed screen printing and the Big Foot 50-ton hot foil emboss unit with swivel head can be jointly fitted on the Digicon Series 3 430, enabling foiling and embossing in one pass
Digicon Series 3 is a modular finishing system that can operate at up to 150m/min in rotary mode or 64m/min in semi-rotary mode. It can run in-line/off-line with a SGTR turret rewinder. The 430mm-wide model retains all existing modules of the 350mm machine, including flatbed screen printing and the Big Foot 50-ton hot foil emboss unit with swivel head. Both modules can be jointly fitted on the Digicon Series 3 430, enabling foiling and embossing in one pass. As with all Digicon Series 3 machines, the 430mm is also fully compatible with fleyeVision, ABG’s camera inspection and editing offering, providing automatic selection, 100% inspection and rejection of rolls with errors, with no interruption to production.
The new wider width machine is, however, only available in a left to right format.

We already have a growing order book for the wider format, which shows how popular the wider width is likely to be.’
