UV LED curing specialist Integration Technology is rebranding to IST Intech in order to align the company with the wider IST group brand.
IST Metz is a mechanical engineering company with international operations, based in Nürtingen, Germany. For more than 40 years, the company has been producing systems for the curing of inks, varnishes, silicones, adhesives, resins and other materials. The IST Metz group added Integration Technology to its ranks in 2015, meaning the group could offer a full product portfolio of high-performance UV lamp and UV LED systems, supplemented by hot air/infrared drying systems and the company’s Excimer technology.
Now to be known as IST Intech, the creation of the business is said to allow ‘a new brand to emerge that encompasses the unique expertise of both companies and offers a wider range of innovative products.’ IST Metz and IST Intech will continue to operate in their respective market sectors whilst collaborating to develop future product lines and expand into new curing applications.
Both companies are working to develop the next generation of sustainable UV LED curing systems and have commenced building a new state-of-the-art R&D laboratory, the LEDLab. This represents a strategic move towards, ‘cementing the company’s leading position in the curing solutions market’, and will become a centre of excellence with a team of technology experts researching and developing the next generation of UV LED technology. Investment in R&D will be targeted at furthering the sustainability of UV LED curing technology and attaining even higher levels of efficiency, ‘making UV LED attractive to new markets seeking to reduce their carbon footprint.’
