Rotocon is to open a facility in Hamburg to provide Ecoline and Chrome machine demonstrations and factory acceptance testing of purchased equipment.
This development comes as Rotocontrol and EMT International are no longer representing the brands in Europe and North America.
With headquarters in Cape Town and branches in Johannesburg and Durban in south Africa, as well as dedicated operations in Europe and Asia, Rotocon manufactures print and finishing systems, such as Ecoline and Chrome. It also represents other manufacturers in its home territory of South Africa, including the likes of Domino, Erhardt+Leimer, EyeC, MPS, Pantec GS Systems, Rosas Maschinenbau, Rotocontrol, Screen, UV Ray and Wink.
Rotocon started developing its economy line of finishing equipment in 2013 and officially launched the Ecoline range in South Africa in early 2017, ‘to meet the technology investment needs of smaller labelling operations and start-up ventures with the highest possible specifications and competitive pricing.’
Chrome printing and finishing equipment were introduced in 2022 to provide greater customisability and modular upgrade options.
Ecoline and Chrome machines are produced in the China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) area, with design changes and production managed by Michael Wang, managing director and shareholder of Rotocon Asia.
The new facility in Hamburg will allow Rotocon Europe to provide enhanced sales and support of Ecoline and Chrome finishing machines in Europe and North America.
This development is supported by the appointment of three new team members within the Rotocon Europe organisation.
