South African label company Avvo has installed a Screen Truepress Jet L350UV SAI S machine to broaden its business for self-adhesive and other labels.
Avvo chose the L350UV SAI S label press for its claimed production speed of 60m/min, printheads that provide smooth reproduction of halftone images, and colour blending that allows subtle tones and photorealistic quality.
The new inkjet technology will enhance Avvo’s efficiency. The company has fully integrated the new Truepress L350UV SAI S with a Rotocon Ecoline RDF 330 digital finishing machine. The two machines handle substrate thickness from 40 to 250g/sqm, and the UV ink curing system supports printing on any media.
‘To keep up with the demand for digital printing, we took the leap and invested in a Screen Truepress Jet L350UV SAI S, our second inkjet press in a few years,’ explained Avvo general manager Ronnie Rampirith. ‘After the challenging Covid-19 years and devastating floods in 2022 that directly affected the company, this new machine will help us get back on out feet.’
Mr Rampirith added, ‘It was important for us to continue growing, increase our capacity, and expand out portfolio. The machine’s ability to deliver fast turnaround times with consistent quality has allowed us to retain our market competitiveness.’
