A B Graphic (ABG) has now sold 2500 Vectra turret rewinders since the product’s inception in the mid-1990s, with 500 rewinders installed within the last three years alone.
ABG’s Vectra turret rewinders comprise three models: the entry-level ECTR, the four-spindle HDTR and the SGTR Autoset. They can be integrated inline or operated as standalone machines with a separate unwind module. Servo drives ensure precise tension control and smooth operation, allowing a range of substrates to be rewound, including delicate, perforated or punched products. Vectra rewinders can be customised to individual needs.
Vectra rewinders are currently manufactured at the company’s Middleton on the Wolds site, are set to relocate to a new state-of-the-art 40,000sqft facility in Kelleythorpe, close to near ABG’s Bridlington headquarters. This strategic move will enable increased production capacity and shorter lead times.
Coinciding with this relocation is the highly anticipated launch of a new Vectra model at Labelexpo Europe 2023, where ABG will formally introduce the next generation of highly automated turret rewinders. These models will be available in both hot melt glue (Vectra G) and glueless (Vectra) variants.
