UK-based converter Springfield Solutions has received an AA+ BRCGS certification rating.
The BRC Global Standard for Packaging Materials is not only used by food packaging producers, but also by producers of packaging for all applications across the supply chain. specifically, the BRCGS for Packaging Materials helps a site or operation to demonstrate they are providing quality-assured, legally compliant, and authentic products.
Certification provides a robust framework for packaging manufacturers in the production of safe packaging materials, managing product quality to meet customers’ requirements while maintaining legal compliance.
Certification against the standard is recognised by many brand owners, retailers, food service companies and manufacturers around the world when assessing the capabilities of their suppliers.
Following an unannounced audit, Springfield Solutions – a recent addition to the All4Labels global group – noted awarding of this certification as, ‘putting us in an established position to provide high-quality, compliant packaging to our customers. The certification also helps support our drive for sustainable and environmentally friendly packaging and our continual improvement via innovative solutions,’ the company stated.
Dave Medcalf, enabling services manager at Springfield Solutions, said, ‘The end of June saw the company undergo the annual revaluation audit of our compliance to the BRC Global Standard for Packaging Materials. The fact that we achieved an AA+ rating for what was an unannounced audit, shows that all within the company are operating to very high levels of compliance with our specified food packaging processes as normal working practice.’
