Screen and Nilpeter have detailed a new hybrid printing configuration, integrating the former’s UV inkjet digital printing technology with the latter’s flexo expertise.
Specifically, this new integrated modular line combines Screen’s Truepress Label 350UV SAI technology with Nilpeter’s FA-Line platform. The integrated press offers a top printing speed of 60m/min, a CMYK+W+O+B colour configuration including high-performance white, and a range of additional features such as sleeve-based UV flexo stations, LED or mercury lamp curing options, closed chamber ink trays and extensive automation. Additional options include quick-change die station, semi-rotary die-cutting, flexo cold foil, digital cold foil and doming, hot foil unit, rail-mounted high-build varnish, lamination and video inspection. Tight and harmonious integration of the two companies technologies enable dynamic interfacing and instant registration from the first print, it is claimed. Further, advanced register control systems ensure print consistency, minimising waste and optimising performance.
Screen and Nilpeter have worked closely together before for integrated hybrid printing. This new variant is described as, ‘the culmination of years of meticulous development and close partnership between these leading printing equipment manufacturers.’ It has been developed in response to ‘surging demand’ for integrated digital printing and embellishment options. This platform, ‘empowers businesses to create a wide range of end-to-end label printing solutions that set them apart in the market,’ according to the two companies.
In a joint statement, Screen and Nilpeter said, ‘This integrated digital printing press represents a game-changing solution for label production. By combining the best of both worlds – Screen’s digital expertise and Nilpeter’s flexo excellence – this press empowers businesses to unlock new levels of efficiency, quality, and creativity in label printing.’
