Screen Europe has named Osamu Yamagata as its new president.
Prior to his appointment as president, Mr Yamagata was vice president and global sales manager, having joined the inkjet digital printing specialist in 2018 as its sales manager for label printers. Mr Yamagata has extensive international experience, the company stated, having worked abroad for more than 16 years in Argentina, Brazil and Hong Kong. In addition to his native Japanese, he speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish. In his new role, Mr Yamagata will be responsible for managing and further growing the Japanese high-tech company’s graphic arts business portfolio in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). His responsibilities include Screen’s inkjet digital printing technology for commercial printing (Truepress Jet), labels (Truepress Label) and flexible packaging (Truepress Pac), as well as the company’s computer-to-plate (CtP) business.

Effective from 1 October, 2023, Mr Yamagata takes over from Akihiro Fujii who is returning to Japan to join the board of Screen Graphic Solutions in Kyoto.
