Polyart has introduced Laser Food, a new synthetic paper grade for direct food contact.
Polyart Laser Food is claimed as ‘the first and unique’ direct food contact synthetic paper for dry toner printing and is approved by both the ISEGA and FDA certification bodies.
Printable using dry toner, as well as wet and dry rub resistant, Polyart Laser Food has wide food compliance. It is compatible with acidic and non-acidic foods. The typical applications are tags and labels for retail applications, refrigerated food, fruit and vegetable food labels, sausages, ham, cured meat, fish, shellfish, seafood, cheese labels, bakeries, signs for food displays, and table mats.
Polyart Laser Food is available as sheets and reels and in four grammages (115-187-258-365g/sqm), meaning most food applications can be catered for. Its unique value proposition is opening up new applications, according to Polyart, ‘offering new growth opportunities to digital printers.’
