ME Industrial Simulation Software has been formed as a robotics and automation simulation software company to assist manufacturers in implementing new technologies to their production.

ME Industrial Simulation Software is a joint venture enterprise, and the result of the long-term collaboration between Visual Components, a Finland-based developer of 3D simulation software, and Mitsubishi Electric, which manufactures and sells electrical and electronic products and systems for various fields and applications.

Operating globally, ME Industrial Simulation Software has been established to assist manufacturers and help optimise processes through capacity estimates, work-in-progress (WIP) assessments, bottleneck analysis, buffer size optimisation, and other capabilities.

Mikko Urho, CEO at Visual Components, said, ‘This joint venture will be able to maximise synergies by combining our superior 3D simulation software with Mitsubishi Electric’s manufacturing know-how. Through synergies, we will accelerate the realisation of digital manufacturing and contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of our customers.’

Toshie Takeuchi, general manager of the Factory Automation systems division at Mitsubishi Electric, added, ‘Specifically, we aggregate and analyse data acquired from equipment and equipment at manufacturing sites using our FA equipment in a digital space to solve problems in our customers’ engineering chains. By establishing a joint venture with Visual Components, we will combine the strengths of both companies and contribute to solving problems at manufacturing sites.’
