Hansjoerg Gietz is handing over the management of the namesake company he currently manages to Marcel Gerber, so allowing Mr Gietz to focus on his role as chairman of the board of directors and the management of the holding company.
After successful years as managing director of the print finishing, packaging and security company, Mr Gietz is passing the reins to Mr Gerber, who is currently working as engineering director at the Swiss company. This change will take effect from the start of 2024.
Mr Gerber has worked in the printing industry for around 15 years and has headed the engineering department at Gietz AG for the previous six years. His deep understanding of the technological landscape and commitment to innovation is expected to, ‘help to keep the company on track for success and open up new opportunities for growth and development.’
During his 22-year tenure as owner and managing director, Gietz AG noted that Mr Gietz ‘made a significant contribution’ to the development and success of the company. A statement confirming the change reads, ‘His commitment to excellence and his ability to turn vision into reality have made the company a leading player in print finishing and security printing. His contribution and performance will continue to be invaluable as he now focuses on driving the strategic direction of the company as chairman of the board.’
