All Printing Resources (APR) is to begin representing SEI Laser and its portfolio of laser finishing systems for flexible packaging in the US, as of 2024.

SEI Laser is a developer of laser die-cutting and finishing systems. For flexible packaging, these include PackMaster and PackMaker. PackMaster is a range of laser systems designed for cutting, scoring and perforation of flexible packaging material, such as single layer (PE, PET, PP, nylon, PTFE), laminated films and paper. Options including easy-open, window packaging, micro/macro perforation, MAP and other applications. PackMaster systems are available in various configurations, depending on the application/installation environment. PackMaster CW Conveyor, for instance, is a roll-to-roll and roll-to-sheet laser machine with a vacuum conveyor for easy-open functionality and die-cutting. PackMaster CW WP is a system specifically for creating windows in flexible packaging. PackMaster WD allows for laser processing of flexible packaging materials at a web direction process speed of up to 500m/min. PackMaker is part of the extended PackMaster family and has the ability to process both cross-web and web direction jobs. Featuring up to eight upgradeable lasers, this system can cut, score, mark and create micro/macro perforations. This facilitates easy opening, ventilation, breathing and windows. It can handle paper, PE, PET, PP, nylon, PTFE and laminated films, with a maximum roll width of up to 1800mm. PackMaker can be integrated into existing production lines.

Joe Settanni, director of strategic initiatives at ARP, noted, ‘This marks a shift for APR to include more finishing and automation solutions. We’re eager to broaden our product options and provide customers with innovative solutions. SEI’s cutting-edge laser technology positions them as an ideal partner for APR.’

Although principally focused on the needs of the flexographic industry, APR has interests in digital and represents Dantex’s Pico inkjet press portfolio.
