North American labels and packaging manufacturer Brook + Whittle has acquired PouchIt, furthering its footprint in the US Southeast and allowing it to target more of the packaging industry.
Brook + Whittle manufacturers pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, flexible packaging, and heat transfer labels. Headquartered in Guilford, Connecticut, the company operates 18 locations across the US. PouchIt is a flexible packaging manufacturer based in Atlanta, Georgia. Specialising in short-run stand up pouches, lay flat pouches and roll stock film. Both businesses are users of HP Indigo’s digital offset technology to produce printed products..
For Brook + Whittle, the acquisition is viewed as a strategic move that positions the company deeper in a rapidly growing segment of the packaging industry. It also enhances the acquiring company’s footprint in the US Southeast.
Brook + Whittle CEO Mark Pollard said, ‘PouchIt’s printing and converting capabilities will provide a great springboard to grow our flexible packaging business. This will allow us to provide faster service to our existing customers and expand into new markets. Moreover, with PouchIt’s flexible packaging expertise, we will be able to spearhead sustainable innovation in this segment.’
PouchIt will be closely aligned to Brook + Whittle’s e-commerce platform Sprink.
