Agfa has used Fespa to introduce a new theme for its printer portfolio, ‘Powerful by Nature’, which has been introduced to ‘emphasis the performance of our printers’.
The company continued, ‘Under the baseline ‘Powerful by Nature’, the printers have been imbued with a fresh identity, now sporting names of formidable animals that reflect their unique strengths.’
Arnaud Calleja, vice president, Digital Printing Solutions at Agfa, went on, ‘Our overarching ‘Powerful by Nature’ portfolio theme emphasises that the performance of our printers stems from the way they have been designed. Whatever environment a printing company operates in, whatever its markets or applications, whether seeking high productivity, quality or versatility, there’s an Agfa printer that will deliver impressive results and give their business a boost.’
Condor, Bronco, Ciervo, Grizzly, Tauro, Orca are animals now assigned to the Agfa printer portfolio. For example, Onset Grizzly X3 HS is a high-speed flatbed inkjet press with a speed of up to 1450sqm/h, which runs Agfa’s Greenguard Gold-certified inks. A newly developed white print mode see the printer apply white ink 40% faster than when compared to non-Agfa ink. Automation options can also be specified, including loading/unloading robots.
The first customer for the SpeedSet 1060 B1 folding carton press, now including the addition of ‘Orca’, has been confirmed as The Delta Group in the UK. SpeedSet Orca 1060 is a water-based inkjet press capable of a throughput of 11,000 sheets per hour.
Debuting at this week’s Fespa are the Jeti Condor RTR5200 HS, Jeti Bronco H3300 S and Anapurna Ciervo H3200. See sister publication Digital Printer for more on the revamped Agfa printer portfolio for sign and graphics applications.
