Dr Markus Arendt has assumed his position on the executive board of Dr Hönle, succeeding Dr Franz Richter, who has been appointed to the role of chairman by the supervisory board for a year to lead the company on an interim basis.
As stated by the company, Mr Arendt, has extensive experience with international industrial companies. Most recently, it said, he served as managing director of the German subsidiary of MKS Instruments, a supplier to the Semiconductor Industry. Prior to that, he spent 15 years with Suss MicroTec, where he held positions including head of the business unit lithography and managing director of Suss Photonic Systems, Corona, USA.
‘It is fantastic to take on such an important role in a dynamic medium-sized but worldwide operating company like Dr Hönle,’ said Mr Arendt. ‘The Hönle Group is already active in attractive growth markets with its unique range of products and technologies. I look forward to contributing my expertise in advanced packaging and my international experience, particularly in the USA and Asia, to the further development of the corporate group.’
