Kartongbolaget, Swedish provider of high-end packaging solutions, has invested in Fujifilm’s Jet Press 750S at drupa 2024 to advance its packaging capabilities, while prioritising sustainability.
Joakim Johansson, CEO of Kartongbolaget, said that the 750S aligns ‘perfectly’ with the company’s vision of offering premium packaging with environmental benefits. Aiming to deliver high level prints to its customers – which it has done over 80 years – Mr Johansson stated that the decision to invest in the press following extensive testing, ensures the company remains at the forefront of the industry.
He highlighted the key areas which influenced the company’s decision: high performance, quality and environmental credentials. Additionally, Mr Johansson said the press’ ability to handle 90% of the Pantone scale was particularly impressive; as well as its use of water-based inks, ensuring a safer and more eco-friendly production process.
The 750S’ ability to emboss, hot foil and handle variable data printing allow the company to me the needs of each client, said Mr Johansson. Its time to market is also a standout aspect according to Mr Johansson. With the help of Fujifilm and the machine itself, Kartongbolaget can respond swiftly to customer demands, ensuring their products stand out on the shelves, he added.
Taro Aoki, head of digital press solutions at Fujifilm Europe, commented, ‘We are delighted that Kartongbolaget has chosen the Jet Press 750S to enhance their packaging solutions. Our goal is to provide innovative and sustainable printing technologies that empower our customers to achieve outstanding results, making it an ideal choice for companies like Kartongbolaget who are dedicated to excellence and sustainability. We look forward to seeing how this investment enhances their business capabilities further.’
