Global Graphics Software has expanded its partnership with Mark Andy and has begun a partnership with Dantex, integrating its SmartDFE into Mark Andy’s Digital Series HD HighSpeed 1200 press, and Dantex’s Pico range of digital UV inkjet printers, respectively.

According to Global Graphics, SmartDFE is the only AI-powered, inline Digital Front End specifically designed for high-speed, single-pass digital inkjet presses. It offers a suite of components, from job creation and prepress workflow to printhead drive electronics. Powered by the ‘world’s fastest’ PDF raster image processor, Harlequin RIP, SmartDFE integrates advanced workflow and colour management tools from Hybrid Software.

Mark Andy has decided to extend its collaboration with Global Graphics to license SmartDFE to drive its new hybrid solution. Doubling the speed of its predecessors at 1200dpi resolution, the Digital Series HD HighSpeed 1200 press – capable of printing full-colour labels at 480ft/min – is driven by Mark Andy’s new ProWorx Digital Front End, powered by SmartDFE, which enhances productivity by optimising prepress workflow and colour management.

This high performance is enabled by streaming real-time raster data directly to the printhead electronics provided by Meteor Inkjet, another Hybrid Software company.

Justin Bailey, managing director of Global Graphics Software, commented, ‘We are thrilled to contribute to the development of this groundbreaking digital press. The Digital Series HD HighSpeed 1200 is exactly what SmartDFE was designed for. We are proud of its capabilities and the significant impact it will have on digital printing.’

Dantex has also partnered with Global Grahpics, integrating SmartDFE into its Pico range which the company says will deliver a unique, more powerful and versatile printing solution, enabling customers to achieve even higher productivity and superior print quality.

With SmartDFE, Dantex will build its own customised solution, enabling the company to add value and differentiate its product offering. Additionally, SmartDFE enhances Pico’s ability to print variable data even faster which requires high levels of personalisation and data-driven printing.

Ben Danon, CEO of Dantex Group, said, ‘For us, partnering with Global Graphics Software represents an exciting new venture that aligns with our commitment to innovation in digital printing. We were looking for a DFE and workflow that would take the Pico range to the next level of performance and support our DRS technology, and SmartDFE will help us to achieve that. Not only does it expand our offering to our customers, it also enhances our digital platform and helps future-proof workflow automation.’

Mr Bailey concluded, ‘We’re thrilled to partner with Dantex Group. From our first engagement, it was clear Dantex shares our dedication to innovation. Unlike typical DFE solutions, SmartDFE isn’t a ‘black box’, allowing Dantex to selectively implement components that complement their existing technology. Dantex also wanted a partner with full control over its core technologies, independent of third-party roadmaps – a unique advantage we offer.’
