All4Labels has announced a geographic extension of its commercialisation partnership with Actega, for the latter’s Signite direct printing ‘no-label look’ technology.
The partnership began in December 2023, with a 10-year agreement that made All4Labels an exclusive partner for Signite in the European market. Since then, cross-functional teams from both companies have been working together to scale up and optimise the production process, with the intention of making it available for brand owners in Europe.
The agreement has now been extended to include the Central and South America region, where All4Labels will bring the Signite technology to market under the trademarked brand name of StarDirect, within its STAR portfolio.
Guido Iannone, All4Labels chief security officer and president for Mexico, South Africa, and China, commented, ‘The tangible success of the first months of collaboration and trials, led us to desire to extend our partnership with Actega and invest further in this ambitious project. We have started with a first pilot-site in Leeds (UK), and we are now expanding its production across multiple sites throughout Europe and South America.’
‘We have been delighted with All4Labels commitment to sustainability, which we share, and their investment in bringing the Signite technology to the next level,’ said Thorsten Kröller, Actega president, adding, ‘With this extended agreement we look forward to bringing the positive impact of our sustainable technology to a wider level and being able to further support brand owners on local and global scale.’
The Signite decoration process is expected to be attractive to brands in the Wine & Spirits, Personal & Homecare, Beer & Beverages and Food segments. Actega claims it is a disruptive process that eliminates printing substrates and reduces carbon emissions.
