Narrow web technology manufacturer Mark Andy has appointed Antony Cotton as its European sales manager for its range of flexo and digital press technology, replacing Phil Baldwin, who has moved to Bobst.
Mr Cotton joins Mark Andy from Focus Label Machinery in the UK, and is responsible for the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia markets.
Mark Andy’s executive VP for International Business, Tom Cavalco, commented, ‘Antony Cotton is well known and respected in the narrow web sector with more than 35 years’ experience, and we are delighted he is joining the Mark Andy Sales Team to help us continue to grow our market share in Europe. To be able to appoint such an experienced manager to support our existing users and develop the market is invaluable in today’s business climate, especially one who can hit the ground running.’
Mr Cotton said he had always seen Mark Andy as a ‘market leader in the narrow web sector’ and was keen to ‘get acquainted with my new colleagues and familiarise myself with the latest technology available’. He added, ‘I’m really looking forward to the new challenge and getting out to visit Mark Andy’s extensive customer base in Europe.’
Phil Baldwin was with Mark Andy for more than 12 years, and Mr Cavalco paid tribute to his ‘hard work and commitment to Mark Andy’, commenting, ‘He has fulfilled many roles within the company and handled them all with great application and success. We all wish him well in his new career.’
