Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe has appointed Kentaro Itamoto as its president succeeding Kiyotaka Suhara.
Joining Konica Minolta in 2002, Mr Itamoto has held leadership roles across various regions, including the Middle East, North America, and Japan. In the Middle East, the company said he has been “instrumental” in establishing the regional office and growing the business within three years. His leadership in North America saw the execution of five mergers and acquisitions, strengthening the company’s direct sales operations. Returning to Japan in 2019, he led global projects, enhancing talent development and boosting productivity.
Currently serving as general manager of the corporate planning division at Konica Minolta, Mr Itamoto has been driving strategic initiatives and structural reforms to optimise the company’s workforce. In his new role as president he is set to champion the company’s focus on customer-centricity and sustainable business growth.
In a related announcement, Toshitaka Uemura will become the European head of industrial printing (IP) business. Mr Uemura, reporting to Mr Itamoto, will work alongside Rob Ferris, CEO of Konica Minolta Business Solutions UK to fortify the company’s European industrial printing strategy. This move aligns with Konica Minolta’s continued expansion in the industrial printing market.
