The Saueressig Group has announced a strategic partnership with Hybrid Software to integrate its AI-powered image search tool, Matches, into Hybrid’s CloudFlow workflow platform. The integration is aimed at enhancing digital prepress and packaging design workflows.
Matches is designed to identify visually similar or identical image content using artificial intelligence, removing the need for manual tagging or keywording. According to Saueressig, embedding Matches directly into CloudFlow allows users to conduct visual searches and manage assets without leaving their existing production environments.
The version of Matches integrated into CloudFlow includes visual search functions, intelligent region-of-interest recognition, and text-based image lookup, tailored to industries such as label printing, packaging, and decorative surfaces.
Ingo Beutler, product owner of Matches at Saueressig, said the integration marks the first time the technology is available directly within prepress workflows. “Our partnership with Hybrid Software significantly expands the reach of our solution,” Mr Beutler stated.
Nick De Roeck, chief technology officer of Hybrid Software Group, said Matches enhances CloudFlow’s automation capabilities. He added that AI-driven image search is becoming increasingly relevant in modern production workflows.
According to both companies, the integration aims to improve efficiency and reduce manual steps in the early phases of packaging production. Saueressig and Hybrid Software describe the move as part of a broader effort to support digital transformation in print and packaging.
The Matches module is now available within the CloudFlow platform. Both companies are promoting it as a tool for increasing operational transparency and accelerating time-to-production in design and prepress workflows.
